  1. Hello.
My grandmother was born in Huby, and her maiden name was Snell. I have tried to find out if there is a burial ground in Huby, but there doesn’t seem to be one. Would you know where residents of Huby would be laid to rest, as I would be interested to find any family graves.
    Kind Regards.
    Allan.

  2. Hello
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend today’s parish council meeting. I live in barf House so am directly infected by the proposed planning application. I would be interested in understanding the pc view. Whilst hi one had the right to a lovely view my primary concern is the rate of building growth in Huby over the past few years. Does the village have the appropriate infrastructure? I would be grateful if the chair would give me a call. Kind regards Ian croston 07760 165282

  3. I have been informed that a new application has been made for planning permission for 5 dwellings on the lane that I know as Robin Lane (which is what it is called where it starts) in Huby. This lane is a bridlepath rather than a lane and is not suitable for dwellings. Also, the houses would be behind the existing housing line and would be built on greenfield land.

If planning permission were given, it would open up a flood of applications from the landowners on both sides of Robin Lane and the infrastructure just isn’t there to allow a wider road to be placed there. It is hard enough for horse riders to have places to take their animals without this bridlepath being taken from them.

My husband and I (as well as all the neighbours that I have spoken to) strongly object to this proposal and would like you to register our concern as we are only a few doors down from them.

    Kind regards

    Karen

Hi,there are teenagers going down to huby sports field on the 21st January Friday they will be doing drugs and drinking on the sports filed and making a racket n making noise and being irresponsible I just thought to report it as there’s a party at the village hall which is safe and all my friends n my daughter friends are going and they will be coming near the village hall possibly which I don’t want drugs near my daughter n her friends and I don’t want her birthday party to be ruined and they shouldn’t be drinking and doing drugs at such a young age

  6. Hi
I understand that there is a proposal that the verges etc plus Tally Hill should not be cut for 5 years. When I heard about this I thought it was a April fool in November. Lots of people walk there dogs, kids play football rugby on Tally Hill, I have heard that support for this scheme is 60/40 in favour why have none of the dog walking fraternity not been informed of this proposal. I have never heard of something so ridiculous, let’s hope you see sense and reject the proposal out of hand.
